The Timeless Appeal of Pure White OC-64
Pure White OC-64 is more than just a basic white. With a Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 79, it is categorized as an off-white that subtly plays with light, brightening spaces effectively. What sets it apart is its very slight hint of blue undertones, which makes it an ideal match for cooler color schemes. This quality allows it to harmonize beautifully with cool-toned as well as metallic accents and fixtures, which are popular in contemporary bathroom design.
The Design Concept
In this renovation, the aim was to achieve a modern yet timeless bathroom that feels both welcoming and luxurious. To accomplish this, we used Pure White OC-64 to the walls and trim, providing a crisp, clean look. The slight cool undertone in the color worked perfectly with the bathroom’s other elements, from marble tile floors to the gold fixtures and cool gray cabinets..
Complementing Colors and Materials
Pairing Pure White OC-64 with cool tones creates a cohesive look that is soothing and refreshing. In this bathroom, the cool gray veins in the marble tile floors and the glossy quartz counter tops complement the wall color. This creates for a well manicured look. Gold fixtures and hardware softens the look. I think this lends some warmth to the cool palette while adding a touch of sophistication. Lastly we introduced BM Gibraltar Cliffs 1587 on the cabinets. This deeper color complements the lightness of Pure White OC-64, adding a sophisticated contrast. Gibraltar Cliffs is a moody gray with blue-green undertones, and was the icing on the cake for this bathroom renovation.
